Whitecaps

We stayed here with extended Family. The House is in a perfect Location, and having Beach as well as Creek is fantastic. The Outside and Porches are also amazing and the old Oak Trees in the front are a special treat. The inside: Living room and bedrooms are older, but comfortable and charming. This brings me to the "desperateley needs updating" part: The two Bathrooms, but especially the Master Bath are really sub standard (rusted sinks, rusted hooks, bare lightbulbs, leaking shower head etc.). And the Kitchen is really quite the challenge: Old everything with holes in cabinet doors, wood counter blistered and broken appliances (coffee maker was rusted out). We rent in Pawleys Island every year, older and newer properties, and they have all been exceptional and well maintained, so this was a huge disappointment. The price does not reflect the different level of how the Kitchen and Bathrooms presented in comparison to the other properties. This place can be a crown Jewel, but not in its current state of disrepair. Another sad thing was the neglect of the landscaping around the house. We love the natural setting, but debris and totally overgrown vegetation is not necessarily charming. Love this Property, but had to be honest :)

Have loved staying at White Caps the last few years and look forward to the next one. From porches, creek dock, comfortable living space and cozy bedroom its our favorite. As a cooking family the kitchen could use some attention, although we were pleased to use the new range as of 2 year ago, the older cookware could use replacement, as well as providing additional kitchen essentials. We were pleased to see there were two cast iron pan for our fresh fish fry. There are just too many pots and pans. Less and better quality would be nice. With this said we love this amazing house.

This was our fourth stay at Whitecaps and we’ve loved it every time. The house is laid-back Pawleys but has fresh and comfy decor. The oceanfront location and creek dock are perfect for our family and there are little touches throughout that make our stay fun and comfortable! (Ex: beverage fridge and icemaker, hammock, game table, rocking chairs facing the ocean)

We have been coming to Pawleys Island for over 15 years. We loved Whitecaps, especially the porches. We loved the easy keyless entry check in process as well.
