WHAT IS THE DOG POLICY?

We have several properties that are dog friendly. All god friendly properties are indicated in the brochure by a paw print. On our website, if a property is dog friendly it will be reflected in the "Property Highlights" section of the specific property. Properties do not allow cats. PLEASE NOTE: Pawleys Pier Village does not allow any animals on the premise.

WHAT IS TRIP INSURANCE?

Trip Insurance is designed to cover you and/or your traveling companions before and during your stay for a covered situation. Coverage includes, but not limited to: trip cancellation or interruption due to non pre-existing illness, death, mandatory evacuation, inaccessibility and if the rental property is uninhabitable due to a hurricane. Though we at Pawleys Island Realty recommend this insurance coverage, especially during Hurricane season, the coverage is optional and requires you to Opt In. You can Opt In on your Guest Portal or by contacting our office. PLEASE NOTE: If you add Trip insurance to your reservation whether on the Guest Portal or via our office, you must pay the Trip Insurance Premium at the time of adding for coverage to begin.

ARE THERE LIFEGUARDS ON THE BEACH?

No, there are no lifeguards on Pawleys Island. Please swim at your own risk. Please be aware of Rip Tides and tide times. Please review the "Important Information and Safety Tips" page for additional information.

WHEN IS CHECK IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is at 4:00pm and check-out time is 10:00am. We are unable to guarantee an early check-in; however, if your property is ready prior to the check-in time of 4:00pm, we will notify you via text. Please make sure that the mobile phone number on your reservation is updated for you to receive any updates we may text. We do recommend that you do not go to the property prior to 4:00pm, unless notified, as this may delay your check-in time..

DO I NEED A FISHING LICENSE?

Yes, South Carolina State Law mandates each person must have a fishing license. You can obtain a fishing license at either Pawleys Island Supplies or Ace Hardware.

HAVE AN AFTER-HOURS EMERGENCY?

If you have an emergency that cannot wait until the next business day, we have an emergency phone that a member of our staff manages after-hours. The emergency number is 843-455-1878.

ARE LINENS INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL?

All properties, unless otherwise indicated on the property page, do not come with linens or towels. We do have two options for linens and towels. We have the "Island Club Package" in which the linens and towels are brought to the property and the beds are made, along with a gift bag for when you arrive. We also have a "Linen Package" drop-off service, which includes the linens and towels for the property delivered in a bag at the property on the arrival day. Please ask us for more information and pricing. Either package needs to be ordered and paid in full no later than 7 days before your arrival date.

HOW LONG IS PAWLEYS ISLAND?

Pawleys Island is a little over four miles long and about a quarter mile wide.

ARE BONFIRES AND/OR FIREWORKS ALLOWED ON THE BEACH?

Permits are required for all bonfires on the beach which can be obtained from Town Hall. Fireworks are not permitted on Pawleys Island.

WHAT IS THE LEASH LAW?

Dogs are allowed on Pawleys Island beach year round; however, owners must have a leash in hand, have their dog under voice control and pick up after them. From May 1st through September 30th between 8:00am and 8:00pm, dogs must be on a leash and under complete control, even in the water.

ARE TOILET PAPER, DISH SOAP, ETC., SUPPLIED WITH MY RENTAL?

One roll of toilet paper and a bar of hand soap will be provided in each bathroom. All other products are the responsibility of the vacationer to bring and/or purchase for their stay.

CAN I RESERVE MY SAME PROPERTY FOR THE FOLLOWING YEAR?

Yes, an advanced deposit is required to reserve your same property for your week(s) in the following year. By making an advanced reservation before you check-out, you can be first in line to reserve the property you occupy this year for the same corresponding week(s) next year. If you do not reserve the same property before your departure date, then the property will be opened up for a fist come first serve basis. Please note that there are rare times when your next years week(s) may have been booked in advanced by the owner. If this happens, you may contact our office on the Monday after the week passes this year, to see what other properties will be available next year for your week(s).

WHEN IS THE FINAL PAYMENT DUE?

On all advanced reservations, your initial payment will be due the second Tuesday of January of the year you are arriving and the final payment will be due 30 days prior to your arrival date. In the event that you book a reservation and it is 30 days or less to your arrival date, the payment in full is required when the reservation is booked.

WHAT GROCERY STORES AND SHOPS ARE IN THE AREA?

Since Pawleys Island is a non-commercial island, all grocery stores and shops are on the mainland. You will find Publix, Food Lion, Lowes Food, and Fresh Market all within a few miles of each other. You will also find close by, the Hammock Shops and the Island Shops

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE CHECK IN AFTER YOUR OFFICE HAS CLOSED?

Our office hours are Monday through Saturday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, except for Saturdays in the summer, we are open until 6:00pm. For all vacationers that are unable to arrive prior to our office closing, we will have your check-in packet on the wire rack outside on our office front porch. Your check-in packet will contain your keys, a map and any information that you may need for the property.
